Some of you will know that i used to be based at a farm strip in Shropshire flying Tommy Reid's old 172. Every year the strip has a fly-in to support the owner's charity - Hope House. This year's fly-in will be either the first or second weekend in July. I would propose to try and take one club aircraft and anything else we can muster! We would probably have to 'slum it' with a couple of tents or so but there is a pub within walking distance. Flight time, in a 172 would be about 1:30 each way.
I'll happily organise everything but for now would like to gauge the level of interest. Plus points would be a cross-channel check for those that need it and some grass strip experience. There are also a number of airfields within spitting distance of Sherlowe where we could gain more experience of UK flying. the picture below will give you some idea of the strip at Sherlowe.
