Rassemblement d'Hyravions

Postby Marty » Mon Jan 18, 2010 1:16 am

I think that means a gaggle of seaplanes!

Ray Pyper ,also known about the field as G-PYPE (lovely RV7 with Ghia-x trim) has put a poster up in the clubhouse relating to a seaplane festival at Biscarosse (an airpark between Bordeaux and Biaritz). The 4 RV7s are going and there is interest with some other members.

I have asked Steve Houston to put the poster on the website

I was very serious as Tony our forth person was stuck in Portugal
something to do with ash I believe
should just stick to GA with internal combustion
engine
going to be a strange summer with the unpredictable
flights
all being well we'll head off in the morning
refuel the aircaft and ourselves in Guernsey
I heard getting the fuel key in Dinard can take ages
after lunch quick hop to Dinard for customs clearance
hopefully won't take that long as i have emailed them all our
details
then we will route SW to the coast probably near StNazaire
then down the coast to Biscarrosse
hope the RV guys get there before us to get the beers chilled
:-)

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if someone going to Biscarosse could pass n a few photos and a report to us at Flying in Ireland for the July mag.

Any other news also welcome (e.g. photos and thoughts on the Piper Sport)

Cheers
